Greetings! We hope you have been well. We have been doing great although there has been a lot of changes lately. As you may know, we did close the Hope Chest Thrift Shop because Dr. Tyler and Clement moved to Bisbee. In spite of the move, the DMHF is still very active. We have quite a few pets currently in the program and we are making sure they still get the care and treatment they deserve.
Sadly we had to say goodbye to Snickers this winter. She was such a wonderful dog and she her adoptive parents treated her like royalty. It was an honor to be able to help place her in such a wonderful home and she will be missed.
Folks have been asking about more fund raising events and we are coming up with some great ideas so stay tuned!
Life tends to be a little crazy so this website doesn't get updated as much as it should so don't forget we have a facebook page where you can stay current on our adventures.
Just a reminder, our new mailing address is:
P.O. Box 4463
Bisbee, Az 85603
Our phone number, website, and facebook are still the same.
We appreciate your continued support and look forward to seeing you soon!

We are closing the Hope Chest Thrift Shop at the end of February. Until then, all items are 50% OFF! The closing of the shop will in no way affect the day - to - day operations of the Dallas Memorial Hope Fund. We will continue to help seniors and their pets in our community. We appreciate the support of the community and the volunteers who helped run the shop. Thank you!

Hello! It has been a while since I have posted a blog entry so here goes...
Things have been very busy with The Fund. As always we have been taking care of the pets in our programs by providing whatever medical care they need including their routine exams and vaccines as well as the odd surgery or dental proceedure that becomes necessary.
Sadly, we lost several of our precious little members this year including Mindy, Silki, Juanita, Adam, and Frisky. We were sad to see them cross the rainbow bridge but it was a joy to be able to help them for so long.
We did help place several animals over the course of the year. As we heard of pets in need of new homes we worked to help place them as best we could regardless of whether or not they were enrolled in our program.
Our "small but awesome" thrift shop has continued well into it's second year! People have been wonderful to donate items as well as purchase things. We are grateful to our volunteers who donate their time to keep the shop running. Make sure to say hello to Dave, Clare, Nancy, Bob, Charlie, Thelma, Lee, and Norman when you see them behind the counter. Sadly they will not all be behind the counter at one time as the shop is quite small so you will have to make multiple vists. Clare is now the manager of the thrift shop since I have moved out of town to Bisbee. She is doing a great job and the store looks amazing!
Keep an eye out for a nice write up about us and three other rescue organizations in the next issue of Currents Magazine. Larry Scott interviewed us and put together a nice piece describing what we do.
Well, that is all for now. We want to wish you all a Happy Holiday Season and we are grateful to all of you who help us fulfill our mission through donating your time, fostering a pet, or through your generous donations. Thank you!

We are currently looking for foster homes for two wonderful dogs. Their owner is going into a home out of state and we are going to help these guys out.
Please let us know if you or someone you know might be interested in fostering two amazing dogs. They don't have to both go into the same home although that would be preferable.
KC is six years old and Harvey is four years old. They enjoy sleeping, hiking, and being petted.
Please contact us as soon as possible if you or someone you know can help these wonderful dogs!

As you know, The Dallas Memorial Hope Fund was proud to hold a grand opening of our new thrift shop, The Hope Chest, on May 4th.
The grand opening was a huge success and many folks from the community turned out to prowl through our awesome little shop. We are greatful for everyone who has showed up to shop and/or to donate their gently-used items. We are also greatful to Anita, Penny, Dave, Charlie, and Thelma for volunteering to man the store during the week.
To date, The Hope Chest has raised over $2,000 in funds! This has far exceeded our expectations and I believe it is a testament to the support you and others have shown toward the shop and toward The Dallas Memorial Hope Fund. Since we are a volunteer-run store, all the money raised goes directly toward furthering our mission of helping seniors and their pets in our community.

Once again we want to everyone for helping make this possible!

Over 100 people showed up to help celebrate the Grand Opening of The Hope Chest Thrift Store. This isn't bad considering the shop is only about 15 feet by 20 feet. However, despite its size, the store offers a wide selection of fine jewelry, tools, books, DVDs, home decor, appliances, and more. The day started with a ribbon cutting by Mayor, Tony King. After that the doors were opened and the aroma of fresh brewed coffee, fresh cinnamon rolls, cookies, brownies, scones, and more poured out onto the sidewalk. A constant stream of patrons poured through the doors throughout the day. Many of them brought their dogs to show support of the cause. At the days end, The Hope Chest raised over $850.00! We appreciate all those who donated goodies and all those who volunteered to help (Dick, Paula, Penny, Voris, Anita, Charlie, Thelma, Clement, and Marcella). We also appreciate all those who took time out of their day to swing by and show their support. Without all of you, our mission wouldn't be possible.
